First meeting With New Members
We had our first meeting with new recruited members during 2012 October semester, we were able to gather 60 and more new members to join our family in UTAR Robotic society. Therefore, we gathered them together on 1 Nov 2012 from 5pm to 7pm in UTAR. We had presented a short briefing about UTAR Robotic society and also coming-up events. A ice-breaking game based on teamwork was held and one of the group became the winner here. Thanks to our camera man which taken all the picture of the event here.

Robot That Can Learn, Think And Act By Itself
At the Hasegawa lab of the Tokyo Institute of Technology Japanese scientists have created a robot that can learn based on past experiences. The robot can think, learn and react to situations and teach itself new behaviours in an unsupervised manner.
The Self-Organizing Incremental Neural Network (SOINN) robot is described by its developers as “an unsupervised online-learning method, which is capable of incremental learning.”
SOINN learns through its own experiences, as well as through the large network of online information available to each robot model. Developers are now working on creating a robot that can multi-task, solving the problem of overly specialized robots.
